Dr. Emily Funk
Dr. Emily Funk was born and raised in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. She attended Villanova University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. After college, she pursued her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York City. Dr. Funk returned to Pennsylvania when she was accepted into the prestigious Orthodontics Residency program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She is happy to return to Chester County with her husband and high school sweetheart, Tyler, and their dog Lola. Dr. Funk is proud of her ties to the community and considers it a privilege to bring smiles to her hometown.
Dr. Funk’s practice philosophy is centered on patient care and comfort. She enjoys being able to create beautiful and healthy smiles while supporting and building confidence in her patients throughout their orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Funk’s expertise includes treatment of patients with a wide variety of orthodontic needs, backgrounds, and ages. She values the importance of individualized care and takes time to know and understand her patients in order to provide the best experience possible.
When she’s not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Funk enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fitness, trying new restaurants, and watching college basketball. Her favorite things about Chester County are its rich history and numerous green spaces.
